²⁴ So, brothers,^{[a] (A)}in whatever condition each was called, there let him remain with God.

²⁵ Now concerning^[b] the betrothed,^{[c] (B)}I have no command from the Lord, but I give my judgement as ^(C)one who by the Lord's mercy is ^(D)trustworthy. ²⁶ I think that in view of the present^[d] distress ^(E)it is good for a person to remain as he is.
